translation so no one relates” oil on fabric , dimensions variable, 2015

In “translation so no one relates” I take specific clothed figures from old master’s drawings and turn it, stretch it, morph it, flip it, and define it.

The Purity of form in my priority and how it relates to space and the carriers of that form. What is beneath the textile is imagined by the spectator. . The imagined bodies that are the carriers of this material, are alienating from the original use of the material – but actual draw focus to its raw construction. These constructions morph and are never the same for each individuals eye The textile’s raw and Pure grace can be displayed with out the understanding of the foundation that supports it. Edges of reality become blurred and fabric becomes re-define on fabric.
