The Absent Stoners

Dealing with the general irony of escapism, “The Absent Stoner” will be a collection of writings and drawings that analyze how creativity is affected by the use of marijuana. The essays will focus on the counterbalance many seek between escaping time through distractions and being present. Through the history of these collected texts it will also examine the freedom to escape the rigors of normalcy and banality of everyday life and the need to live life stoned … as one sometimes needs distance to get perspective. The works of Nietzsche, Kant, and Balzac let the public eye concentrate.
